AT the BWN November 2025 get-together, Glenyce and Dawn entertained us with their travel adventures and a slide show of some of the amazing destinations they have visited over the years. As Dawn said, "if they are not walking, they are happy to be talking about it".
Glenyce and Dawn are local Portarlington residents however for many months of the year they are Wandering The World - a business Glenyce established after walking the Camino de Santiago in 2013. After completing her 800-kilometre journey to Santiago de Compostela, she realised the simplicity of walking and meeting people from all walks of life.
Their website is jam packed full of wonderful information and it's recommended you head there for some inspiration... especially if you missed out on hearing them at our get-together.
There are several of our BWN members who are heading off on trips with Wandering the World next year and I am sure they will be keen to share their adventures with us when they return.
"At Wandering the World, we believe that life is best approached one step at a time. As the Australian experts in walking holidays on the Camino and across Europe and Asia, we organise guided and self-guided trips for everyone from first-time walkers to seasoned pilgrims, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature, explore ancient trails and be immersed in new cultures and cuisines"
