North Bellarine Film Festival
At our September 2025 BWN get-together Rob Walton spoke about the upcoming North Bellarine Film Festival on November 14th & 15th at Parks Hall, Portarlington.
The Festival was established in 2017 with the objectives of bringing high quality and diverse cinema to the Bellarine Peninsula and to help foster regional, state and national film making talent.
Its presentation of rich and diverse programs of Australian and international feature films and its growing focus on short films produced by independent filmmakers from across Australia, has resulted in the North Bellarine Film Festival growing into a major regional event.
They established an annual 'Emerging Filmmaker' Award in 2019 to recognise Victorian filmmakers twenty-five years of age or younger, who demonstrate outstanding talent and the strong desire to succeed at their craft.
The opening night on Friday will include a short film "The Salty Bitches" about a local swimming group, followed by the feature film - The Wedding Banquet.
An award ceremony on Saturday evening concludes the event.
Friday and Saturday tickets are still available - drinks and finger food are included in the ticket price.
More information is available on their Facebook Page or click the link below to go directly to the Try-Book page and purchase tickets.
