Bellarine Community Health

A round-up of the Bellarine Women's Network evening - June 2024

Special guest speaker Kai Whyte, Volunteer Coordinator at Bellarine Community Health gave a comprehensive overview of all the services available at BCH. She talked about the history of BCH and present-day activities.

Did you know for instance that BCH was the very first community health service in Victoria, and started over 50 years ago? Kai told us about the dental services available at the Point Lonsdale site, which is available for public and private patients.

Kai told us about the assistance that people can access with 'My Aged Care' (available at the Portarlington BCH Hub on Tuesdays & Thursdays) plus the volunteer program and how to be involved.

Kai encouraged people who need services or information to get in touch directly. There were lots of questions from the audience. People can self-refer to BCH or ask their GP to refer for services. Phone: 1800 007 224 or visit the website.
